News & Announcements

In Memory of Leon Michal
Leon Michal passed away recently. Treasured as one of our guild's most approachable and experienced members, Leon will be sorely missed by our members and the members of other guilds in Ontario.
Leon was most noted for pioneering the addition of colouring for woodturnings.  He was generous in sharing his techniques and expertise to help others enhance their work.
Leon's woodturning was very distinctive, winning praise from his peers and prizes in local competitions, including a first place at the spring woodworking show a few years ago.
Always available when any member needed some help or instruction, he also contributed his time and turnings in support of his favourite charities.

Our next regular meeting will be in September.

On May 8th, we held our WGO Salon 2008.  Follow this link for the results and pictures from this year's annual competition.
